Dumfries & Galloway
Lockerbie, Dumfries and Galloway
Christmas Tractor and Truck Run is a festive event where participants decorate their vehicles with holiday lights and decorations, this is to raise funds for Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for neonatal care.
Participants parade through the communities, spreading holiday cheer and showcasing their creativity, while also encouraging community spirit and participation. Events often conclude with activities like food drives, gatherings, or entertainment, making it a beloved tradition in many areas during the holiday season.
The event was organised by Ryan and Becky Muir, whose daughter was born nine weeks early in 2015. The couple were taken to hospital in Glasgow to receive the care they needed.
Last year's tractor run, 2023 was the biggest one so far, having raised double the funds of the year before event.
Over two hundred luminous tractors and lorries lit up the roads of Dumfries and Galloway for the third annual Christmas Tractor and Truck run.
Over £15,000 was raised by the event to go towards equipment and training at the Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for neonatal care.
